Application of clone library analysis and real-time PCR for comparison of microbial communities in a low-grade copper sulfide ore bioheap leachate.
Microbial community of leachate from the heap bioleaching located in China were analyzed using 16S rRNA gene clone libraries and real-time quantitative PCR. Both methods indicate that Leptospirillum spp. is the dominant bacteria, and Ferroplasma acidiphilum is the only archaea detected in leachate.
